Huddersfield Town Appear to Have Landed Loan Signing

Huddersfield Town have been very quiet in the transfer market to date, not one signing has been announced. There have been several rumours, but nothing appeared to be concrete. However, should The Terriers get the loan deal for Anjorin over the line in time for Monday night’s transfer deadline it will help the Yorkshire side in pursuit of the Championship play-off spots.

Sitting just below the top six, The Terriers are once again exceeding expectations. Looking to push for the play-offs, Town have been lacking in creative play. Huddersfield will benefit from the attacking vision of Anjorin, and the midfielder will get regular game time.

Bringing in Anjorin for the final push of the season is good business by Huddersfield. The Yorkshire club have a history of developing loanees. Take Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith-Rowe, for example, the youngster grew in confidence and stature with a season-long loan at The John Smith’s Stadium. Huddersfield looked after the Arsenal loanee and Smith-Rowe is now established firmly in the Gunners’ first team.

Linking With Colwill Will Help Anjorin

Anjorin will do well with the Terriers, having team-mate Colwill there already should enable the midfielder to settle in quickly. Anjorin fits the style of play the Yorkshire side are looking for and will fit into either of the seemingly preferred formations that head coach Carlos Corberan uses.

A play-off position is not outside the realms of possibilities for The Terriers once again. Anjorin had sparked interest elsewhere. Southampton were also said to be interested in Anjorin as a permanent signing. But Chelsea rate their academy star and want to keep him at least for now. A loan deal is the best for both clubs.
