Tottenham Hotspur have submitted a bid for Porto winger Luis Diaz. The 25-year-old star appears eager to make the move to the Premier League.

The Columbian international is a prolific goal scorer. In the 18 games he has played this season, Diaz has netted 14 times. The exciting talent has also previously been linked with Manchester United. Spurs are looking to revamp the squad to challenge for the top of the Premier League.
Spurs are currently seventh in the league, out of the Carabao Cup and not in European competitions. Antonio Conte needs to strengthen and Diaz is the winger the Italian has set his sites on. With Diaz, Spurs would have a top scorer. At present, the best performer for Spurs is Son Heung-min. The South Korean forward has played 17 matches but only scored eight times.
Release Clause in Luis Diaz Contract
Porto have a release clause in the contract of Diaz. Spurs have made an offer but, according to Fabrizio Romano, Porto have not yet accepted.
The transfer window shuts on Monday so Spurs are leaving things late. Conte also wants to strengthen in other areas, with Adama Traore being another key target. Spurs are also hopeful of reaching an agreement with the Wolves winger.
Conte has also indicated that deals could be reached for Spurs players who are not in his plans moving forward so Tanguy Ndombele could return to his home country on loan with Paris Saint-Germain. Elsewhere, Newcastle United and Southampton are interested in signing Dele Alli on loan. The midfielder was not in the squad that lost at Chelsea.
With a week left of the transfer window, Spurs are going to have a very busy period. Trying to get the signing of Porto winger Luis Diaz and Adama Traore over the line and offloading others.
