An Extra Free Hit chip

The big news this week was the announcement that FPL managers now have two Free Hit chips to play with rather than the usual one. The second chip will be available from gameweek 20. It is a good initiative by the game developers. With so many matches being postponed due to Covid and also snow, most FPL managers will be happy with this news.

Fantasy Premier League 2021/22 Gameweek 19: Fixtures to Target

Newcastle United v Manchester United

Newcastle United‘s tendency to keep leaking goals continued last week as they shipped another four at home to Manchester City. Another Manchester team visits the Magpies this week and it looks tough for Eddie Howe’s men once again. The Red Devils have not played for a while but will be heavy favourites to get all three points from this fixture. Cristiano Ronaldo is the one to have for sure as long as he is available. Bruno Fernandes, David De Gea, Diogo Dalot, Alex Telles and Marcus Rashford are also decent picks. Manchester United will also have double gameweeks soon as they need to reschedule their postponed fixtures. So, it makes sense to load up on their players. The upcoming fixtures are decent as well.

Fantasy Premier League 2021/22 Gameweek 19: Other Things to Consider

Manchester City are playing brilliant football every week. They did not even look that good last week yet they won by four goals. Leicester City already have defensive issues and they could still concede quite a few goals. Will Jack Grealish and Phil Foden come back into the fold? Jamie Vardy is a doubt with a hamstring issue. Joao Cancelo had a monster haul last week and remains a must-have. The attackers are all good picks, but the threat of the Pep-roulette remains.

Tottenham Hotspur looked good in their last two games. Son Heung-min and Harry Kane are back in the reckoning as FPL options. However, Crystal Palace won’t be easy opponents for Spurs.

Also, look at Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka from Arsenal. However, they have tougher fixtures coming up after this week.

Captaincy Options

Cristiano Ronaldo is the best bet right now, but Joao Cancelo is also an adequate option.
