Romelu Lukaku Will Agree Chelsea Move if Right Offer is Made to Inter Milan

Romelu Lukaku

According to Matt Law of the Telegraph, Romelu Lukaku will agree to a Chelsea move if they decide to pay a big-money fee to Inter Milan. The striker has previously reiterated his happiness at the Italian club, but a return to his first English club will certainly be tempting.

As per Fabrizio Romano, the Blues will make a proposal of €120/130 million after their original bid of €100 million, plus Marcos Alonso, was turned down. If Inter accept the forthcoming proposal, Chelsea will then reportedly offer Lukaku a whopping €12 million per season salary.

Lukaku back in a Chelsea shirt is a scary prospect; he would add the finishing touch to Tuchel’s super team, potentially resulting in a Premier League title.

The Missing Piece

One thing that Chelsea lacked last season was a clinical striker. Timo Werner, although a constant threat with his movement, just never offered that merciless approach in the frontline. Romelu Lukaku, meanwhile, was taking the Italian crown, ordering others to bow down goal after goal.

The Belgian we saw at Manchester United was gone; this was a transformed, ruthless version back amongst the debate of best strikers in the world. That timid player we saw at Old Trafford was no more; instead, we saw a player with all the confidence in the world.

With that newly-discovered confidence, he’ll be desperate to take his vengeance on the Premier League and prove any remaining doubters wrong. And Chelsea may be the perfect club to do that.

They certainly look best-positioned to make a move. If the right offer is made, there won’t be a problem with personal terms, making a deal all the more easier for Chelsea. If they manage to get a deal done, it will undoubtedly break several Premier League records.
