Chelsea Striker Armando Broja Commits Future to Blues

New Deal

Brojo will turn 20 in September and has now committed his long-term future to Chelsea.

Broja expressed his excitement at signing a new deal, saying: “I am really excited to be signing a new contract with Chelsea. Having come through the Academy here it was a special moment for me to make my first-team debut last year, before gaining further experience on loan at Vitesse last season. I want to build on these foundations and I am really looking forward to progressing and making an impact at Chelsea in the years to come.”

That debut came in the Premier League tie against Everton in March 2020 when he came off the bench in what ended up being the last game before the first Coronavirus lockdown brought football to a halt.

Through the Ranks

Chelsea is very much in Broja’s blood, having come through the junior ranks at Stamford Bridge from the U9s onwards and went on to further tell the clubs website that he wants to make an impact at Chelsea;

Broja enjoyed a successful spell on loan in the Eredivisie with Vitesse Arnhem, scoring 11 goals as he helped them to a fourth-place finish in which he was one of the top goal-scoring teenagers in Europe. He also helped his loan club to the final of the KNVB Cup.

Broja has represented Albania since the U16s and has earned six caps for the national team, including making a start against England in a 2022 World Cup qualifier back in March.
