‘Excited’ for Premier League Chance

Speaking to the club website, Rashica said: “I’m really excited to play in front of the Norwich fans and in the Premier League. I will of course give my best to this football club in every game and hope to excite the fans with many goals and assists. I can’t wait to get started.

“I know a few things about the club, particularly the style of play under Daniel Farke. I want to continue to learn and develop as a player and person and I think that the style of play here will suit me very well.

“I have spoken with the boss and I know what he wants to see from me. Those conversations with him recently have been a big help and I am very excited.”

Career So Far

Rashica came through the youth ranks at Kosovan side Vushtrria before going on to play 21 times for their first team between 2013 and 2015.

He completed a move to Dutch side Vitesse in 2015, featuring in both the Eredivisie and Europa League, the latter of which he faced Norwich’s new Premier League counterparts Southampton in.

After three years in the Netherlands, Rashica moved to Germany to join Werder Bremen and quickly became one of the most sought-after youngsters in European football.

Aston Villa had also been linked with the Kosovan this summer as well as last summer. Instead, though, they opted to sign Norwich’s Emi Buendia, the man Rashica has come in to replace at Carrow Road.
