After five years it is expected that Michy Batshuayi will depart Chelsea according to reports from football.london reporting that at least one top half Premier League club is interested in taking the 27-year-old striker on a permanent deal.

Batshuayi joined Chelsea for a fee of £33.2 million and was expected to achieve great things with the club but he never got a proper run in the team under former manager Antonio Conte and spent much of his time away from the club.
Loan Deals
In his first 18 months at Stamford Bridge, Batshuayi made the equivalent of just one start per month and instead his playing time was on loan at three clubs in Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and, in the latest loan move, Crystal Palace.
He may have felt that when Chelsea were placed under a transfer embargo that Frank Lampard would give him more opportunities in the 2019/20 season but he once again found himself frozen out as Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham were the preferred strike partnership.
New Contract
Despite the lack of playing time, he still signed a new one year contract extension in the 2020 summer transfer window before heading back to Crystal Palace on a season long loan but he was again used infrequently and, out of 20 appearances in total, only started on nine occasions for Roy Hodgson’s side as they battled to maintain their Premier League status for another season.
The contract runs until the summer of 2022 but Chelsea want to cash in before that expires with a fee desired of around £10 million for the striker who would prefer to remain in the Premier League. There is significant doubts as to whether European clubs are able to afford the asking price for the Belgian and Chelsea forward.
