Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 32 Preview

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 32

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 32 is a weird one with the gameweek stretching for almost a whole week. Tottenham Hotspur play twice whereas Crystal Palace do not play at all this week. Let’s find out more about this gameweek.

Quick Tips

Before making transfers, one has to keep in mind the schedule for gameweek 33. Four teams ( Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Southampton and Fulham) won’t have a match next week so a plan has to be made accordingly. Hence, picking three Spurs players this week as they have two matches may create problems next week.

Goalkeepers

With tough fixtures coming up, FPL managers are thinking about selling Emiliano Martínez. The Argentine keeps making a bucket load of saves though. In the last couple of games, he has picked up four points each. However, other keepers are worth consideration as well until the end of the season. Rui Patrício has good fixtures coming up, Edouard Mendy is a decent option and one could look at Hugo Lloris as well. Dean Henderson is also not a bad shout as he seems to be starting regularly now. Bernd Leno is being considered by many as well, although Arsenal’s defensive record is not that great.

Defenders

Wolves defenders should do well this week against Sheffield United. The likes of Conor Coady, Romain Saïss and Nélson Semedo all have the potential to get six points or more. Rayan Ait Nouri could do well if he starts also.

Chelsea’s defence does not look as solid as it did a couple of weeks ago. They do have a decent fixture this week but doubts remain whether they can keep a clean sheet. César Azpilicueta and Antonio Rüdiger are probably the safest options.

With kind fixtures coming up, Trent Alexander-Arnold is a decent option until the end of the season. He is in good form as well. With Liverpool out of Europe, they have nothing but the Premier League to concentrate on. It won’t be an easy game at Elland Road but Liverpool are in desperate need of the win.

Luke Shaw, Rob Holding and Sergio Reguilón should also be considered.

Midfielders

Jesse Lingard is in absolutely sublime form. He just keeps on scoring goals. West Ham United need him to keep firing if they are to hold on to their top-four spot. They have a good-looking fixture this week, but Newcastle United can still cause them issues. Regardless, one cannot bet against the red hot form Lingard is in right now (four goals and two assists in the last three matches).

As Spurs have two matches this week, Son Heung-min is a must-have. He scored a nice goal last week which should help him get back in the groove after coming back from injury. Lucas Moura is also a decent pick although it is difficult to find a midfield spot for the Brazilian.

With three goals in four matches in all competitions, Mohamed Salah looks in a bit better form. However, his finishing has been quite poor. His FPL owners will hope he can take the chances this week. Diogo Jota is also a good option. However, his starting status is not certain.

Burnley have not lost in their last four visits to Old Trafford. They even won in this fixture last season. Manchester United fans will hope that trend changes this week and they will want Bruno Fernandes to fire them to victory. The Portugal international has scored only once in the last six matches in the Premier League. Can he get back to the scoring charts this week? Mason Greenwood is firing in all cylinders and looks in great touch. He could be a great differential.

Kai Havertz and Mason Mount are good options from Chelsea. Havertz had a great game last week whereas Mount is always pretty consistent.

Adama Traoré has been in pretty good form recently. He has a great fixture this week and some nice matches to come as well.

Strikers

Harry Kane is the most obvious captain pick this week. There is absolutely no reason not to have him as captain. In fact, this is possibly the best time to deploy the Triple Captain chip as well. Everton and Southampton are decent opponents for Kane to do well against.

Leicester City take on Midland rivals West Bromwich Albion in a fixture that is absolutely crucial for both sides. The Foxes look shaky and have lost two in a row. They need to take all three points from this game.

The Baggies, on the other hand, looked dead and buried but have given themselves a chance of survival after back-to-back wins. They have to win most of their matches. This match will be very interesting indeed. Kelechi Iheanacho is in sensational form and has scored seven goals in the last five matches. His strike partner Jamie Vardy has not scored in seven matches. So, he will be itching to get back on the score sheet. Vardy scored twice against the Baggies on the opening day of the season as well.

Alexandre Lacazette and Edinson Cavani are decent differential options. However, one cannot be sure whether they will start or not.
