Quick Tips

Many FPL managers are thinking about deploying the Free Hit chip. With that in mind, let’s go through all the fixtures and try to find out the best picks from them.

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 29 Fixtures

Fulham v Leeds United

The Cottagers will be desperate for three points as they continue their fight to move away from the relegation places. If they attack Leeds United, gaps could open up for Marcelo Bielsa’s men to exploit. Patrick Bamford was forced off with a thigh issue against Chelsea but Bielsa has confirmed he is fine to play here. He could get some opportunities to score with Raphinha likely to do well also.

However, Fulham have been decent at the back and if they decide to play it safe then it could end up being a tight game. With only nine games to go, they badly need a win. A very interesting match to start the game week, that’s for sure.

Consider: Patrick Bamford, Raphinha, Stuart Dallas, Ademola Lookman.

Brighton & Hove Albion v Newcastle United

A huge relegation battle takes place this Saturday at the Amex Stadium as Brighton & Hove Albion take on Newcastle United. The Seagulls will start as favourites in this game. They have played good football throughout the season. However, finishing has been their Achilles heel. A clean sheet is possible against a Newcastle United side without key attacking trio Allan Saint-MaximinMiguel Almiron and Callum Wilson.

Those deploying the free hit chip should get three Brighton players. This match could end goalless or it could see the hosts win easily. However, a clean sheet for the Seagulls is something one could gamble on. On a free hit, picking the keeper and two defenders from Brighton could prove to be a masterstroke.

Consider: Robert Sánchez, Lewis Dunk, Joël Veltman, Leandro Trossard, Pascal Groß

West Ham United v Arsenal

Mikel Arteta is likely to make a few changes to the Arsenal lineup as they recover from their Europa League match. West Ham United players won’t have such issues. A tight match is in prospect here but the Hammers will fancy themselves to get all three points from this London derby.

Michail Antonio could trouble the Arsenal defence. He scored at the Emirates earlier in the season. However, the Gunners have won at Leicester City recently after a Europa League match and are in decent form. So, one cannot underestimate them. A very tricky one to predict.

Consider: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Jesse Lingard, Aaron Cresswell, Michail Antonio

Aston Villa v Tottenham Hotspur

Aston Villa have only won once in the last six matches. However, they have kept three clean sheets and conceded just four goals in them. Their defence has been good throughout the season and will make it tough for visiting Spurs to score.

Recently, Tottenham Hotspur have been a bit more attacking than usual although they will miss Son Heung-min. Another very tight one to call.

Consider: Ollie Watkins, Harry Kane, Gareth Bale
