The Emirates FA Cup quarter-final draw has been confirmed, with eight clubs now just two matches away from the Wembley showpiece final.

Emirates FA Cup Quarter-final Draw Announced

Chelsea v Sheffield United

The draw was made prior to the final fifth-round tie between Barnsley and Chelsea, and it was the Blues that followed the script with a 1-0 victory thanks to Tammy Abraham’s close-range finish.

Thomas Tuchel’s side will now face Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge in the last eight of the competition after Barnsley missed out on the chance to set up a South Yorkshire derby at Oakwell.

The Blades eliminated Championship opposition in round five by beating Bristol City 1-0 at Bramall Lane.

Bournemouth v Southampton

Bournemouth are the only non-Premier League club left in the competition and their reward for knocking out Burnley in round five is to welcome Southampton to the Vitality Stadium in a south coast battle.

The Saints were the victors in the penultimate scheduled fifth-round tie with a 2-0 win away at Wolverhampton Wanderers thanks to goals from Danny Ings and Stuart Armstrong.

Leicester City v Manchester United

Leicester City edged out Brighton & Hove Albion to reach the last eight on February 10, and they were handed another home tie after Manchester United were selected to make the trip to the King Power Stadium.

The Red Devils also progressed to the last eight by a narrow margin after overcoming West Ham United 1-0 courtesy of Scott McTominay’s extra-time winner.

Everton v Manchester City

Finally, there will be a battle between two footballing powerhouses of the north-west when Everton host Manchester City at Goodison Park.

The Toffees edged out Tottenham Hotspur in a pulsating fifth-round tie after Bernard scored an extra-time winner to ensure the Merseysiders came out on top in a nine-goal thriller and secure a 5-4 victory.

Pep Guardiola’s men overcame Swansea City with a comfortable 3-1 win after goals from Kyle Walker, Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus.

All ties are scheduled to take place over the weekend of March 20 and March 21.
