Football Transfer Rumours: Premier League Clubs to Battle it Out for Ozan Kabak

Kabak Premier League

In a season to forget for Schalke, one shining light has been young defender Ozan Kabak. The 20-year-old has impressed many so far this season and has reportedly attracted interest from the Premier League.

According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace, Manchester United and Leicester City have all joined the growing race for the defender, who is reportedly available for £25 million.

The Premier League clubs join a long list of admirers of the Schalke man, however, with AC Milan and RB Leipzig also reportedly interested.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Serie A leaders are looking to sign a centre-back this month, and Kabak could be an option.

Chance for Kabak to Escape Schalke Relegation Scrap

As a young defender, a relegation scrap can provide you with plenty of testing experiences which could come in handy. Yet, Kabak, at 20-years-old, will be desperate to escape the record-breaking misery of the Schalke season.

The German side are just one loss away from equaling the Bundesliga winless run record and sit rock-bottom, set for relegation. Whether it be in the summer of this month, Kabak, with ability in abundance, will undoubtedly be keen to make a move- whether that be to the Premier League or elsewhere.

Among the reported interested parties, perhaps a move to Leicester City would suit the defender the best. Using Wesley Fofana as a clear example, young players tend to exceed when making the switch to the Foxes.

Since swapping Saint Etienne for Leicester, Fofana has cemented his place in Brendan Rodgers’ side alongside Jonny Evans in the absence of Caglar Soyuncu.

Kabak, should he eventually choose the Premier League and Leicester City, could enjoy a similar rise to that of the French defender’s at the King Power.
