Everton Team News

Everton had an electric start to the season, winning seven games in a row as they sat at the top of the table for 38 days. After a little dip in which they were unable to maintain the fast-paced start, successive victories over Chelsea and Leicester City seem to have got Ancelotti’s side back on track.

The Toffees boss revealed that Colombian midfielder Rodriguez was close to coming back and may be available for the mid-week clash against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals before offering an update on the rest of the squad.

“Rodriguez not yet. For us, it is too soon to put him at risk. We have games every three days so that is why he misses three games.

“The problem is not big. He has a little problem on his calf and he is recovering. Nothing special.

“Allan had a problem on his hamstring. We don’t know how long it will be. We don’t know how many games.

“Fabian Delph is the same. He is doing individual treatment and it is too soon to talk about how long it’ll be before he returns.”

Seamus Coleman Returns

There was some good news for the 61-year old manager as club captain Seamus Coleman is set to be fit to face former teammate, now manager Mikel Arteta and his Arsenal side.

Everton have kept two clean sheets on the bounce against tough opponents in Chelsea and Leicester. With Coleman coming back into the team, the Toffees will be looking to capitalise on Arsenal’s recent struggles to further back reinforce their ambitions of reaching the top four of the Premier League this season.
