Murphy Believes Spurs Are Too Reliant on Kane and Son

Tottenham have been one of the better sides this season. Their strong start has seen many putting them as strong contenders for the Premier League title. But, Danny Murphy, who played for the club for two seasons, has dismissed any such claims said that the challenge is unlikely.

He said: “They’ve got a winner as their manager, someone who has been there and done it, knows what it takes. He is very good at assessing a group of players, working out a that suits to win games.

“They are very organised, enjoy defending together and have a good shape and they’ve got two players at top of the pitch, who are at the moment, playing very well as anybody in Europe, and can score a goal out of nothing. I still think that they’re too reliant on Kane.

“If they keep everybody fit, they could (challenge), but I think highly unlikely still.”

Tottenham’s Impressive Start Continues

Tottenham ended a second straight week at the top of the Premier League following their impressive win over Arsenal in the North London Derby. The success over their arch-rivals has been one of the many eye-catching victories that have cemented Spurs as a genuine title contender for this season.

Apart from their losing start against Everton and a collapse against West Ham United, Spurs have been really impressive. They recorded victories against both Manchester clubs while also securing a point away against Chelsea. The string of great results has seen Spurs winning ten of twelve possible points from four matches with Liverpool remaining.

Tottenham will be hoping to continue their impressive start when they meet London rivals Crystal Palace.
