Karen Hills and Juan Amoros have been sacked as head coaches of Tottenham Hotspur Women.

Announcement Comes One Year After Men’s Team Dismissed Mauricio Pochettino
Tottenham placed on record its thanks to both Hills and Amoros, in a statement on the club website:
“This decision has not been taken lightly and has been made in the best interests of the team, with the belief that a fresh approach will offer renewed impetus as we seek to continue our upward trajectory and positive growth.
“We fully recognise and appreciate the contributions of Karen and Juan during their time with the Club, helping elevate the team from amateur level to become a fully professional side in the Women’s Super League and we thank them both for their hard work and length of service.
“Everybody at the Club wishes both Karen and Juan the best for the future.
“We shall provide an update on new coaching staff in due course.”
Hills had been first-team manager at Tottenham since 2009. At the time, the club were playing as an amateur side in the South East Combination Women’s League.
Amoros joined the club in 2011, and over the best part of a decade helped grow the club into the outfit it is today.
However, Tottenham currently sit bottom of the Women’s Super League after seven matches. They are yet to record a win in the top division.
That’s despite securing the signing of American superstar Alex Morgan earlier this year.
Hills and Amoros’ last match in charge was a penalty shoot-out loss to arch-rivals Arsenal in the WSL Cup.
In a cruel twist of fate, the announcement has come exactly one year after Mauricio Pochettino was sacked by the men’s team.
