Robin Koch Completes Move to Leeds United

Robin Koch

Robin Koch has officially completed a move to Leeds United for an undisclosed fee. The former SC Freiburg defender has signed a four-year deal to become the second man in a matter of days to walk through the doors of Elland Road.

With both Rodrigo and Koch now signed, Marcelo Bielsa will look towards Leeds’ opening game against champions Liverpool as he looks to complete a shock result.

Ben White’s Replacement

After playing a pivotal part in Leeds United’s promotion to the Premier League, Ben White was welcomed back with open arms in Brighton, much to the disappointment of Bielsa’s side, who would have been hoping to complete a permanent deal. However, with a deal for White extremely unlikely, the chance for Robin Koch arose, one the player has jumped towards.

The 24-year-old now has the chance to take the Premier League by storm via the ever-impressive Bielsa ball. The German should help to solidify the Leeds defence while the likes of Patrick Bamford, and the newly signed Rodrigo, link up to tear some teams apart in the top flight.

Leeds Building a Squad Set for Premier League comforts

Marcelo Bielsa’s aim going into the Premier League will not just be to survive but to push into the top half. He will want to replicate what Wolves have done since their return by booking themselves a surprise European tour. With the squad Leeds have behind them, too, a mid-table place should be the least secured at Elland Road.

The two signings have certainly placed down a statement of intent of where Leeds will be hoping to be by the end of the season. The signing of a top European striker in Rodrigo is particularly impressive, with his ability proven on the biggest stages of world football.
