United Have the Advantage Heading to Leicester City

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side travel to Leicester City in a culmination of a battle in the place for the top four.

Currently, the Red Devils have the advantage. They currently sit in third place, one point ahead of the Foxes in fifth.

However, United will have to remain cautious as they travel to the King Power Stadium.

Fred insists that his team-mates remain in a confident mood. He has added extra motivation too, insisting that they should be a Champions League side.

“As a club we should be in the Champions League as we’re a massive club,” the Brazilian said to the official Manchester United website.

“So to be back in the Champions League is really important for us players, it’s also important for the club.”

Respect for the Foxes

Despite their form in 2020, the Brazilian remained insistent in respecting Brendan Rodgers side on Sunday.

Leicester’s recent form has seen them slip out of the Champions League places, despite occupying them for much of the season. They have won just two of their eight games since the return of football in June, and have won just five games this year.

However, Fred believes that they are still a good side: “They’re a big team and they did really well.

“For a period they were competing at the top of the table for first place, but then they subsequently fell off. They’re a very, very good team and we respect them.

“They’ve got great players, lots of really good players and top goal scorers. As I said before, we are going to respect them but also, we’re going into the game to win.”
