Bright Osayi-Samuel Set to Leave Queens Park Rangers After Offer Accepted

Long-Term Interest

The QPR winger has been the subject of long-term interest from Belgian side Club Brugge.

According to the report, Brugge had a bid rejected by the Championship club in May. Now, however, they have had a bid accepted, believed to be in the region of £4.7 million.

The 22-year-old is highly-rated in West London. After a difficult first two seasons with QPR, he has come into his own during the 2019/20 campaign.

Osayi-Samuel has scored five goals and registered nine assists in 39 appearances so far this season. Mark Warburton’s side currently sit in 16th place on 54 points.

However, after an excellent season, interest was expected in the 22-year-old. As a result, they opted to extend his contract until 2021 earlier this year.

One of Several Highly-Rated Prospects

The 22-year-old is one of several highly-rated prospects at the West London club.

It is Eberechi Eze who has earned the praise throughout the majority of this campaign. The attacking midfielder, who is also 22, has scored 12 goals in 46 appearances. He also has eight assists to his name.

His exciting performances have seen him attract interest from several Premier League clubs, including Tottenham, according to Alan Nixon of The Sun.

However, he is not the only QPR player attracting interest. Versatile Irishman Ryan Manning is reportedly attracting from West Ham United and Watford.

Manning, who can play in both defence and midfield, has registered seven assists so far in this current campaign. His last goal for the R’s came in their 3-1 win over Preston North End in March.

The Coronavirus pandemic is likely to mean that Mark Warburton has to lose some of his best prospects in order to raise much-needed funds for the club.
