Impressive Displays

While most of Ogie’s appearances for Orient this season came in the EFL Trophy, he impressed hugely in the time he was given. He was a standout performer in the 2-0 win over Southend United and that prompted appearances against AFC Wimbledon and Brighton & Hove Albion U21s too.

Ogie’s string of fine displays sealed him a loan move to National League side Dover Athletic in January. His form continued with the Whites, making eight appearances and scoring his first senior goal in the win against Aldershot Town.

What Was Said?

Speaking to the club website about his new deal, Ogie said: “I started my professional career at this club, and have really enjoyed my two years here.

“The loan to Dover was one I feel I really needed, and I feel like I had really good experience – and got positive feedback from the players and manager there too.”

O’s head coach Ross Embleton added: “A loan is an important part of a player’s development, and we all know what an unforgiving league the National League is.

“We’ve had a rich history of academy graduates here, and it’s important to me we strive to get them in the team, build their profiles, and make them better individuals to perform to the club, so I’m delighted.”
