Abdi Sharif Signs Liverpool Contract Extension

Liverpool announced via their website that Abdi Sharif has agreed a contract extension. The Reds have extended Sharif’s contract by a further twelve months following a year which has seen Sharif miss the entire season through injury.

The 19-year-old is seen as one of Liverpool’s brightest prospects having climbed through the academy. He had already achieved success with the Reds helping the Under 18s win the FA Cup youth cup.

“I don’t think you get the opportunity to play for an amazing football club like Liverpool too often, so I was excited to sign.”

“The staff that’s been around me throughout my injury, I can’t thank them enough, there’s so many to name.”

“I just want to thank all of them for being there for me and I just can’t wait to get back at it and give everything that I have.”
