The League One Backline

Between the sticks is Rotherham United’s Daniel Iversen, who at just 22-years-old will be a favourite for any FM fan looking to build for the future.

Oxford United’s centre-back Rob Dickie has been hotly tipped for a move up the leagues, topping the list for interceptions per match this season, according to WhoScored.com. Ipswich Town’s Luke Woolfenden – yet another young prospect – joins Dickie in the line-up in the heart of the defence.

Joe Jacobson of Wycombe Wanderers lines up alongside Coventry City’s Fankaty Dabo in the full-back positions. Jacobson has netted nine times this season, whilst Dabo has been part of the best defence in the league, conceding only 30 goals.

The Midfield Trio

The best midfielders according to Football Manager users appears to be a trio of youth and experience.

Paul Coutts’ inclusion is no surprise. The Scotsman is second for pass success percentage (85.9) this season and a wise head may tempt FM fans.

Oxford’s Cameron Brannagan – another one to watch – has seven assists this campaign and at 23-years-old, his potential growth will likely attract managers in-game.

Bristol City loanee, Liam Walsh, currently at Coventry City, makes up the trio, a popular choice for his box-to-box energy.

A Pacy Attack

In attack, Ivan Toney leads the line, with pace in abundance and a prolific goalscoring record, he’s an obvious choice.

Portsmouth forward Ronan Curtis, who’s netted 11 times this season from out wide, takes the left-wing spot. Meanwhile, Burton Albion’s Lucas Akins completes the side, the winger offers great versatility to FM fans.
