Manchester United Handed Jude Bellingham Boost

Teenager Attracting Interest With Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United Going for Jude Bellingham

Jude Bellingham is arguably the most sought after talent in football right now. The 16-year-old has burst onto the scene for Championship side Birmingham City this season, attracting interest from all over Europe. Ultimately, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United have emerged as frontrunners. However, the likes of Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid have also been part of this enormous race.

Bellingham has seven direct goal involvements in England’s second division this season from central midfield and has displayed his clear talent since becoming the youngest player to appear for his midlands side at just 16 years and 38 days.

Borussia Dortmund Seemed to Have the Upper Hand

Merely days ago, the German outfit seemed to have the upper hand in this deal. Reports suggested that Bellingham would snub United for BVB, making another U-Turn from having previously said that he would join the Red Devils.

The Yellow and Blacks have recently become renowned for nurturing great young talent, with the likes of Jadon Sancho and Erling Braut Håland currently succeeding there, however, Manchester United now seem to be ahead in the race for Bellingham’s signature.

Manchester United Now Ahead

The £30 million man could now reportedly join Manchester United. The Red Devils have made their admiration for the Englishman clear, even giving him a tour of their training complex, but seemingly to little avail. That was, however, until Borussia Dortmund’s recent statement.

Dortmund are now putting business ‘on ice’ due to uncertainty caused by Coronavirus concerns. It has already made for bad financial implications, and with the situation set to become even direr, the worst may be yet to come. Due to this, Dortmund do not know what their transfer plan will be in the summer, opening the door for United to snap Bellingham up.
