Attracting a lot of Interest

Partey has attracted a lot of interest from many European sides, with United being one of them. The Ghanaian has impressed greatly in La Liga this season, being one of Atletico’s best players. His tackling, dribbling, and interceptions have been stellar this season, as well as his long shots helping him to three goals from defensive midfield this campaign.

While many clubs have been interested, including Premier League teams, Manchester United are near the front of the race. With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s rebuild focused on a lot of youth, Partey fits into that perfectly. The 26-year-old, while having some experience, is yet to reach his peak, and has many years of top-class football ahead.

Partey would be a great fit at Manchester United. The 26-year-old could slot into defensive midfield there, with the Red Devils lacking a player of that position. He would become an integral part of their already promising midfield, with Bruno Fernandes among the great quality there.

The latest development in the uncertainty of Partey’s future is a credit to Atletico, with the Spanish Giants currently working on extending the midfielder’s contract. At present, it runs until 2023, but the Red and Whites want him to put pen to paper over a new deal which could see him commit his future to the club until 2025.

Furthermore, it would more than double his release clause, from just £43 million to £100 million. This could make many clubs look elsewhere, with Manchester United reportedly valuing their Paul Pogba at a similar price.
