Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona Monitoring 16-Year-Old Omer Beyaz

The 16-year-old has attracted interest from many of Europe’s top clubs with his performances for Fenerbahçe’s academy.

Who is Omer Beyaz?

Beyaz is a 16-year-old Turkish attacking midfielder who currently plays for boyhood club Fenerbahce’s academy and has also appeared for Turkey’s under-17s. Beyaz has impressed greatly for the Turkish Super Lig side’s under-19s this season, scoring two goals and demonstrating his natural talent for skills and dribbling, as well as passing and shooting. He seems to be a great all-round attacker and already, a number of Europe’s biggest names have caught on.

Not the Only 16-Year-Old Attracting Big Clubs

Omer Beyaz is not the only 16-year-old attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs. Jude Bellingham is currently one of Birmingham City’s star players in the Championship this season, with seven direct goal involvements to his name. His performances in England’s second division have attracted the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich to watch him, and although not all of the teams interested in Bellingham are also looking at Beyaz, some, like Manchester United, are.

Who Should Omer Beyaz Join?

While Manchester United have not been the best place for nurturing youth in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era, with Wilfried Zaha as an example, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems to have revived that. Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams are just a few young players for whom Solskjaer has worked wonders, and the same could happen with Beyaz. On the other side of Manchester, City also have a strong case. Phil Foden has turned into a great central midfielder there, and with much promise for future years, Beyaz and Foden could make a great partnership.

Real Madrid also have a very good youth academy, and Barcelona’s is arguably the best in the world. With that said, Omar Beyaz is likely to leave Fenerbahçe soon, with his contract there only good for another year and a lot of interest from some of Europe’s biggest sides.
