Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 28

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 28 Picks

Goalkeepers

Sheffield United is one of the teams without a match this week. So, for the holders of Dean Henderson, this presents a dilemma. Many FPL managers have a non-starting keeper on the bench. If they want to get a replacement for gameweek 28 only, there is no sure-shot clean sheet options to choose from.

One could look at Kasper Schmeichel, who will face bottom club Norwich City. Leicester City should be able to win at Carrow Road and there is definitely a decent chance of a clean sheet.

Then there is Mathew Ryan who has Crystal Palace at home. However, he has not kept a clean sheet in the last seven gameweeks.

The top-scoring goalkeeper in FPL Nick Pope should be considered as well. Burnley faces Newcastle United at St. James’ Park where they could come away with a win with a clean sheet.

If one has some units lying around, Alisson is always a great choice.

Defenders

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson and Virgil van Dijk are all fantastic options away at Watford.

Ricardo Pereira can return both defensive and attacking points this week for Leicester City. He should be considered strongly.

Matt Doherty, Ben Chilwell and Patrick van Aanholt are also worth considering.

Midfielders

Mohamed Salah is the standout choice this week without a doubt. The Egyptian is in great form and has relegation-threatened Watford this week. Sadio Mané is also a great option.

James Maddison has not been in great form but faces his old side Norwich City this week. Can he get back to returning solid points? Harvey Barnes, Ayoze Pérez and Youri Tielemans are also worth considering.

Bruno Fernandes has had a very good start at Manchester United. He returned 14 points last week and looked quite impressive. Everton away is a tough fixture but the toffees are hardly watertight at the back. Fernandes could rack up another great haul in this match.

From Everton, Richarlison is in good form. He is playing upfront under Carlo Ancelotti and has been scoring goals as well. One should consider the Brazillian for this week definitely

Strikers

With no matches for the strikers of Manchester City and Arsenal, many FPL managers are having to bench or sell the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Sergio Aguero. Jamie Vardy is not firing off-late. In fact, last time he scored was ten gameweeks ago. He was so far ahead of everyone else in the scoring charts but Aubameyang has caught up to him now. Will Vardy find his scoring boots again this week at leaky Norwich City. His FPL owners will definitely look to him to deliver.

Danny Ings has scored 15 goals this season and has a really nice looking fixture this week away to West Ham United. Southampton are better away from home so Ings should be able to find the net this week.

Raúl Jiménez is a decent option any week and this week he is away to leaky Tottenham Hotspur. He did not come off the bench in the Europa League match at Espanyol as well so he should be fresh.

Roberto Firmino, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and Callum Wilson are also worth considering.
