Luka Reischl: A Rising Star and in Demand

Lukas Reischl

Having recently turned 16, Luke Reischl has been noticed during his early years by numerous European giants. In rare cases, clubs tend to pounce pretty early- but it isn’t always a good thing regarding said players’ futures.

Luka Reischl is in Demand

Style

Most young strikers need to be nurtured well in the art of goalscoring before moving into full-blown senior football. Currently, Reischl is under a youth contract at Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg. This is a brilliant foundation for a star-studded career in the future if he plays his cards correctly.

Whilst it is not entirely known how he plays yet, there are reports of him scoring 16 goals in ten academy games for RB Salzburg. The involvement with Austria U16 set up only backs his ability level up. According to The Sun, his goal tally overall is 63 in 41 appearances for the academy. This is a sign his maturity is shining through and will be ready for senior football in no time.

Interest

TalkSport report that Manchester City have Luka Reischl on their radar. The defending English champions may either be looking for Sergio Aguero’s successor, or a future plan to generate profit as they had done with numerous other players. A transfer to Manchester City would most likely be a huge gamble for Luka Reischl’s career.

Italian giants Juventus has also been named by TalkSport as a potential candidate to land Reischl’s signature. Juventus have a better treatment of youth players than Manchester City, but definitely still not the best. The rise of Moise Kean was a good example of a good youth nurturing by the Old Lady, however, he quickly left for the promised land of the Premier League.

Would a stay at Red Bull Salzburg benefit him more than a move elsewhere? The likes of Erling Haaland, Dominik Szoboszlai, and a few others have been proof of their ability to maintain youth players’ development. Haaland has recently gone on to sign for German giants Borussia Dortmund and is so far thriving, whilst Szoboszlai had made a name for himself in RB Salzburg’s team.
