Macclesfield Sign Midfielder Shilow Tracey

The Deal

Macclesfield announced via their website they had signed the midfielder.

Tracey arrives on loan for the remainder of the season and becomes the Silkmen’s second signing of the day.

Tracey is a highly rated, highly thought off midfielder at Tottenham.

This will be his first taste of the EFL, and he arrives aiming to help Macclesfield secure their safety in League Two.

He started his career in non-league with Ebbsfleet United before securing a dream move to Spurs in 2016.

Shilow established himself with the Under 23s side at Spurs and proved his versatility by appearing across the midfield, as well as an out-and-out striker.

Largely employed as a right-winger of late, Shilow signed a two-year extension to his contract with the North London giants in 2018 and has made thirteen Premier League 2 appearances so far this season.

Tracey will not feature against Northampton tomorrow having not signed in time to feature in the game.

He could be an excellent addition for Mark Kennedy as he looks to change his midfield.

Harry Hamblin and Danny Whitehead have already arrived to boost his midfield

As Tracey Arrives, Jay Harris Departs

As Tracey joins Macclesfield, the club have confirmed Jay Harris has left the club to join National League strugglers Wrexham.

A statement on the Macclesfield website reads “Macclesfield Town can confirm that midfielder Jay Harris has left the club and signed for National League side, Wrexham.”

Jay signed for The Silkmen last summer and made twenty-five appearances for the club – scoring once.”

We would like to thank Jay for all his efforts and wish him every success in his future career.”
