History With Forest

Adomah signed for Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2019 following a long spell at Aston Villa. His contract at Villa ran out at the end of last season, and he was a free agent until Forest snapped him up in July. Since then, has has been a consistent starter, but has not had a consistent impact. In his first six league games in Nottingham, the Ghanaian got three direct goal involvements. He has no goals or assists in the five months since then. His game time has been less consistent since then, featuring in just five of their last nine games. He does have much experience which will greatly help Cardiff.

Lots of Championship Experience

Cardiff City currently sit 11th in the table. Although the gap to the play-off places is small, they were expected to be doing far better than this at the beginning of the season. Predictions certainly had Cardiff in the higher end of the play-off qualification places, however, a disappointing campaign up to this point has left them very near the bottom half of the table. Cardiff’s squad is very experienced, however, the attack is the least so, and with experience in the Championship at Middlesbrough, Aston Villa and Bristol City, Adomah gives them a great level of this important trait.

Adomah’s deal will help the struggling side from the Welsh capital in terms of experience, and as someone who is very capable of tracking back and helping his team defend, Adomah could be a perfect way to help Cardiff get into the playoff places this season.
