After signing for Borussia Dortmund from RB Salzburg for only €20 million, the Norwegian starlet would’ve only dreamed of doing what he has just done. Making his debut against Augsburg in the Bundesliga, Haland scored his first goal after only 183 seconds.

It took him only ten more minutes to score again, and then after nine more minutes, he’s grabbed his hat-trick. He’s proving to be the bargain we all thought he’d be.

Comeback

After 55 minutes, Borussia Dortmund were 3-1 down against Augsburg due to goals from Florian Niederlechner and Marco Richter.

Dortmund needed attack, they needed goals. So, they brought on 19-year-old Haland for his debut. He had scored 28 goals in 22 games before his arrival, and fans all over the globe were just waiting for him to get on the scoresheet. After only three minutes, he did just that.

Jadon Sancho picked out the Norwegian with a great ball, and Haland slotted it home nicely. However, he wasn’t done there.

With 70 minutes on the clock, Haland got another goal, this time assisted by Thorgan Hazard. He then sealed the hat-trick with a cooly-taken goal slotted away from Marco Reus with a great through ball.

He single-handedly made sure that Dortmund came back and won the game. 5-3 was the scoreline.

Can He Continue His Form?

Haland is a striker’s striker. He is clinical, fierce, and fun to watch. Plus, especially as a young player, Dortmund could not have been a better place to go to. Many thought it was too soon, but he seems to already be cementing his place as a potential star for the Black and Yellow.

The Bundesliga is perfect for young players to shine. Just look at the likes of his Dortmund compatriot Sancho, who’s lit up Germany since his arrival only a few years ago.

Will he replicate his Austrian Bundesliga form in the German Bundesliga?
