The Deal

Bolton announced via their website they had signed the defender. Fleming arrives on loan for the remainder of the season and becomes Keith Hill’s fifth signing in this window.

Fleming gives Bolton a much-needed defensive option after several loan defenders departed at the start of the month. Keith Hill is desperate to shore up Bolton’s leaky backline.

Fleming is highly thought off by Hull and has already made seven appearances under Grant McCann this season. However, Hull have decided a temporary loan spell with regular game time is needed to continue his development.

The left-back is ready to test himself in League One and aim to get Bolton closer to their relegation rivals.

Fleming could make his debut this weekend when Bolton face Portsmouth if he receives clearance in time.

Keith Hill Continues to Change the Bolton Squad

It’s been another transitional period for Bolton with many of their loan players returning to their parent clubs. That has left Keith Hill’s team very short in certain positions.

Defenders have been the main target in this window with Josh Earl and Jake Wright returning to their parent clubs. Toto Nsiala joined earlier this week and the big defender is certainly hoping to make an impact.

Fleming will hope to do the same with Bolton severely short in the full-back areas. The Hull defender will bring pace, calmness on the ball and excellent defensive ability. Keith Hill will be delighted to have him on board.

Bolton are expected to add further additions in the next couple of weeks. The loss of Liam Bridcutt in defensive midfield has hit them hard. Bolton will certainly look to replace him. Creativity is also in short supply so Hill will look to add some fresh flair into the Bolton attack.
