Allan de Souza has completed a permanent move away from Liverpool. The Brazilian has joined Atletico Mineiro for an undisclosed fee. Meanwhile, Isaac Christie-Davies will spend the rest of the season on loan at Belgian side Cercle Brugge.
Allan de Souza and Isaac Christie-Davies Leave Liverpool
Allan Out the Door
The Brazilian midfielder arrived in 2015 but due to work permit issues, Allan couldn’t make a senior appearance for the Reds. He leaves after four-and-half years and several loan spells away from the Reds.
In a statement on their website, Liverpool said: “Everybody at Liverpool FC wishes Allan all the best for his future career.”
Isaac Christie-Davies Leaves on Loan
Liverpool have also confirmed the temporary departure of young midfielder Isaac Christie-Davies. The academy graduate made his debut in the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Aston Villa.
The young midfielder will spend the rest of the season in Belgium with Cercle Brugge. This is an excellent opportunity for the youngster to gain some much-needed experience and game time.
It’s a good move to aid his development and certainly, Jurgen Klopp will keep an eye on him over the next few months.
Liam Millar Returns to Liverpool From Loan Spell
Striker Liam Millar returns to Liverpool after the Reds and Kilmarnock agreed to end his loan spell prematurely.
The striker scored just once in 22 appearances for the Scottish side and it is likely that Liverpool will send him out on loan once again.
He signed a new deal in August prior to his loan move to Kilmarnock. He is expected to continue his development elsewhere with Liverpool hoping to find interested parties.
Expect More Liverpool Youngsters to Leave on Loan
Liverpool are expecting more of their young players to go out on loan in the remainder of the transfer window. Jurgen Klopp wants the academy players to gain more first-team experience and showcase their abilities.
