Jordan Henderson Expected to Sit out With Injury

Liverpool crown off a sensational year with a stern test from Wolves. The Reds will be looking to continue their excellent league form. They were outstanding on Boxing Day as they brushed aside Leicester in style. Roberto Firmino picked up from where he left off at the club world cup with a brace of goals. They oozed quality and will fancy their chances of maintaining their terrific home form.

They are pitch-perfect at Anfield winning every league game thus far. However, that will be severely tested against Wolves who are fresh off a tremendous comeback win against Manchester City. Liverpool will have to be at their best once again. However, their captain Jordan Henderson is expected to miss out having limped off at Leicester with an injury. Due to their hectic fixture list, Klopp could rotate his team and recall the likes of Divock Origi, Adam Lallana and James Milner.

The Midfield Battle Will Be Key at Anfield

Liverpool’s three-man midfield will battle Wolves’ line of four. Whoever Klopp selects in his three-man midfield will have to seize control from Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho. Wolves’ dynamic duo have formed a dominating partnership difficult to get past. Liverpool must get control from them and usually, that keeps Wolves quiet.

A year to remember for the Reds and they will want to end the year in style. They have a thirteen-point lead at the top and no doubt Klopp will want to maintain that on Sunday. A crucial game to crown the year but one that will certainly be played in an atmospheric Anfield ready to party.
