Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 15 Preview

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 15 is almost upon us with a full set of midweek fixtures. It’s a quick turnaround for managers both real and FPL, so here are our picks to help you as best as we can.

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 15 Picks

Goalkeepers

Kasper Schmeichel has another good home fixture this week against bottom of the table Watford. A clean sheet will be expected of him against the misfiring Hornets.

Dean Henderson is a solid pick this week taking on Newcastle United at home. Sheffield United have a decent home record and the on-loan goalkeeper from Manchester United has impressed a lot this season.

Alex McCarthy and Vicente Guaita are also decent options this week.

Defenders

Just like last week, Ricardo Pereira, Çaglar Söyüncü and Ben Chilwell are fantastic options again from an in-form Leicester City side.

Everyone’s favourite FPL pick John Lundstram has a good home game this week against Steve Bruce‘s Newcastle side. A clean sheet and some attacking points might be possible.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson are great picks as well, however, Liverpool‘s lack of clean sheets has really become quite worrying for their returns. Will the brace against Brighton start a scoring run for Virgil van Dijk though? Keep in mind this is the Merseyside derby, so there could be cards flying around.

Matt Doherty could be considered as well this week. Both of his goals have come at home this season and he has a nice home fixture against West Ham United.

Midfielders

Sadio Mané drew a blank in the last match so will be looking to do better this time around. Mohamed Salah was taken off early so could he be given a rest? He has only returned recently from an injury.

Harvey Barnes, James MaddisonYouri Tielemans and Ayoze Pérez are all options worth considering from Leicester City. However, with such a short break between matches, there is a fear of rotation with options like Marc Albrighton and Dennis Praet waiting for their chance.

James Ward-Prowse has scored three times in the last four matches and is always a huge threat from set-pieces. With Southampton having started a favourable run of fixtures against Watford on Saturday, this could be a good time to bring him in.

After having to wait 12 weeks for his first goal, Wilfried Zaha now has two in two. Crystal Palace have some nice looking matchups coming as well so he could be worth bringing in.

Willian was benched in the last match which Chelsea ended up losing. They face Aston Villa at home this midweek in a match that could see goals. The Brazillian should start this one and he has the potential to generate some FPL points for his owners.

Strikers

Jamie Vardy continued his great scoring run with another goal against Everton on Sunday. He has now scored eight goals in his last six matches. One just has to have him in their FPL side.

Danny Ings has scored in each of his last three matches and has some nice fixtures coming up. He could be a great cheap option for your frontline.

The excellent  Raúl Jiménez rewarded his owners with an assist on Sunday. However, goals will be expected from him against the Hammers.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang returned to form with a brace against Norwich City on Sunday. Despite the disappointing result, there were some positives for the gunners as they looked much better offensively under Freddie Ljungberg. They are facing Brighton & Hove Albion this Thursday night and Aubameyang will look to add to his tally of 10 goals this season. Alexandre Lacazette could also profit from playing under the new manager.

Fantasy Premier League Captaincy Picks

Some potentially great captaincy picks are available for this midweek round of fixtures. Jamie Vardy is the best option on paper without a shadow of a doubt. One could consider Sadio Mané and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the armband as well.
