Arsenal Transfer Update: Gunners Eye New Eddie Nketiah Loan

Arsenal transfer update

Arsenal will not return to Premier League action until Monday, when they face Sheffield United. Until then, enjoy this Arsenal transfer update which includes updates on Mesut Ozil, Eddie Nketiah and a possible teenage arrival.

Arsenal Transfer Update: Nketiah Recall Possible

Mesut Ozil

According to Calciomercato, both Inter and AC Milan are each considering approaches to sign Mesut Ozil. He and head coach Unai Emery have never really gotten along at Arsenal.

The playmaker now finds himself out in the cold in the Spaniard’s system. The lack of minutes is beginning to wear on the player, who may seek a move elsewhere in January.

Despite only playing 71 league minutes this season, Ozil still holds value in the minds of many across Europe.

Eddie Nketiah

Eddie Nketiah has been in impressive form for Leeds United this season. Despite having not started a match and only playing 162 minutes, the striker still has a pair of goals to his name.

Nketiah has been even better in the cups, scoring twice in two appearances. His dearth of minutes is beginning to worry Arsenal, who are considering a recall of the player.

However, with Alexandre Lacazette set to return from injury and Gabriel Martinelli in fine form, Nketiah would not get first-team minutes with the Gunners. Instead they would try to find a more suitable loan.

According to Football.london, Bristol City are interested and can offer more minutes. The club will make a decision during the November international break.

Joey Dawson

Scunthorpe United teenage sensation Joey Dawson has caught Arsenal’s eye. The 16-year-old became the club’s youngest-ever debutant in August and is a highly-rated midfielder.

He is also the nephew of former Tottenham Hotspur defender Michael Dawson. However, despite the link with a bitter rival, the Sun reports the interest from Arsenal is very real.
