Tottenham Hotspur Transfer Roundup: Georges-Kevin Nkoudou Latest

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou

Tottenham Hotspur have experienced a flurry of activity with a little over a week left in the European transfer window. Georges-Kevin Nkoudou has completed his transfer to Besiktas. Meanwhile, both Marcus Edwards and Victor Wanyama look set to depart the club as well.

Spurs Transfer Roundup: Latest on Nkoudou, Edwards and Wanyama

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou

Nkoudou joined Spurs in 2016 from Marseille in an £11 million. However, the player has made just 11 Premier League appearances for the club in that time.

Tottenham have, therefore, accepted a bid from Besiktas for the player. The £4.6 million transfer was completed on Thursday after 24-year-old Nkoudou passed his medical.

Nkoudou said of the move, “Even though our story wasn’t the one I hoped for when I arrived here, I still feel like I learned a lot, as a player and as a man.

“I’ve always tried to give my all for this team and this club, and wish my teammates and staff the very best for this season, and the followings. Also a big thank you to the fans who had my back and supported me through the times.”

Club Bruges in Talks for Wanyama

The BBC confirms that Belgian side Club Bruges want to buy Victor Wanyama. The midfielder joined Spurs in 2016 from Southampton for £11 million. The player has gone on to make 93 appearances for the club.

With record-signing Tanguy Ndombele now at the club, plus the return of Harry Winks from injury, Wanyama is set to see his playtime reduced. He made only 13 Premier League appearances last season for Spurs.

The deal is reportedly worth an initial £9 million. Club Bruges previously purchased former Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet this summer for £6.4 million.

Marcus Edwards Nears Udinese Move

20-year-old Marcus Edwards has made just one senior appearance for Spurs since joining the academy at age eight. With no first-team opportunities on the horizon and a contract that will expire next summer, the player seeks a move away from north London.

Italian club Udinese look ready to pounce on the young player. Mauricio Pochettino had once likened the young player to Lionel Messi buy injuries and attitude problems have seen his Spurs career whither on the vine.

He looks to follow in the path of Jadon Sancho and make a name for himself in a foreign European country.
