Bournemouth FPL Preview: Fixtures and Picks

Bournemouth had a terrible run of form in the second half of the season to end in 14th place. Regardless, their attacking style of play and a great set of fixtures for the opening two gameweeks should definitely attract the attention of FPL managers.

First Six Fixtures

Sheffield United (H) | Aston Villa (A) | Manchester City (H) | Leicester City (A) | Everton (H) | Southampton (A)

The Cherries face two of the three newly-promoted sides in Gameweeks one and two. Even though their next four fixtures are tougher, the Bournemouth fantasy assets can still provide good returns. Eddie Howe’s men had a great start last season with 20 points from the first ten matches. FPL managers should have at least one or two fantasy assets from Bournemouth to profit if they can replicate that start this season as well.

Best Fantasy Assets

Bournemouth have a lot of players out injured. David Brooks, Lloyd Kelly, Dan Gosling, Simon Francis, Lewis Cook, Junior Stanislas, and Charlie Daniels are all likely to miss the opening set of fixtures. It might make things easier for FPL managers though.

Callum Wilson (£8.0) scored 14 goals and provided 12 assists last season. He missed a few games due to injury so that tally is mighty impressive. He is a wonderful pick for the first two gameweeks.

Ryan Fraser (£7.5) was the top FPL scorer for Bournemouth last season with 181 points. He was linked with a move to Arsenal earlier but looks like he will be staying put. He is also a great pick.

Joshua King (£6.5) scored 12 goals last season and at his price is probably the best striker choice. One might consider going with both Wilson and King for the first two rounds.

Differentials

Arnaut Danjuma (£6.0) has signed for £13.7m from Club Brugge and already played in a pre-season friendly. The Belgian winger could be a big player for the Cherries this season.
