Latest Transfer Rumours

Fernandes ‘Wants To Join’ Spurs

According to Simon Jones of The Mail on Sunday, Bruno Fernandes has expressed his desire to leave Portugal and join Tottenham. Fernandes has been the subject of a transfer saga, which saw Manchester United and Real Madrid also credited with interest. Spurs have made an offer for the Portuguese attacker, but have so far fallen short of Sporting’s £64 million price-tag.

Tottenham believe Fernandes could take the creative burden significantly off the shoulders of Dele Alli and Son Heung-Min. He scored 32 goals from midfield and laid on a further 18 assists last season. For now, he remains a Sporting player, though seemingly not for much longer.

Hysaj On Spurs’ Radar After Foyth Injury

Neil Fissler of Express writes that Spurs are also considering signing right-back Elseid Hysaj of Napoli. After Juan Foyth’s injury in the match against Bayern Munich, Mauricio Pochettino is sweating over his defensive numbers.

Napoli reportedly value their Albanian full-back at £20 million, so he would be a relatively inexpensive investment for Spurs. He is primarily a right-back, but can also provide cover on the left-hand side. Spurs are especially light in the right-back department after the sale of Kieran Trippier to Atlético Madrid.

Firpo Move To Barcelona Imminent

According to Sam Marsden of ESPN, Barcelona are on the cusp of signing left-back Junior Firpo. The Spanish champions have agreed a €25 million deal with Real Betis to sign the Spanish under-21 star. The club hope the deal will be finalised before they fly to the United States on Monday.

Barcelona have needed competition for Jordi Alba at left-back since selling Lucas Digne to Everton. They were considering making a move for David Alaba, but that proved too complicated; now they look to have found their man.

Barcelona In ‘Advanced Talks’ With PSG Over Neymar

Jordan Seward of Mail Online claims that Barcelona are in ‘advanced talks’ with Paris Saint-Germain after a breakthrough in discussions over Neymar‘s return to Spain. The Brazilian star has told the French side’s officials that he wants to leave this summer, to return to former side Barcelona. The two sides had earlier reached an impasse, but discussions are now advancing.

There is now an agreement about an initial loan deal, which will become permanent next summer. Neymar is now refusing to speak to the club’s Sporting Director, Leonardo. The situation seems remarkably similar to how Neymar left Barcelona only two years ago.
