Latest Transfer Rumours

Van De Beek on Madrid’s Radar

According to Simon Burnton of The Guardian, Real Madrid have made a move for Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek. The Spanish side have yet to finalise a much-mooted move for Paul Pogba, and now turn their attentions to the Ajax player, according to many Spanish media outlets.

Indeed, Marcelo Belcher tweeted that his move to Spain is imminent. This move would put any question of Pogba leaving Manchester United for Spain this summer in serious doubt.

United Look to Rakitic As Fernandes Alternative

Matt Maltby of The Mirror reports that Manchester United are interested in Ivan Rakitic of Barcelona, as an alternative to Bruno Fernandes. Rakitic is one of many players Barcelona are willing to sell this summer; he seems set to play a less integral role after the arrival of Frenkie de Jong. Barcelona would also like to use his sale to fund a move for Neymar.

This comes after news that Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race to sign United target Bruno Fernandes. The north London side have only made two signings and could prepare for some late transfer business. Rakitic would be available for £45 million.

Sané’s Price Revealed as First Bid Rejected

According to James Tucker of The Telegraph, Manchester City have put a £137 million price-tag on Leroy Sane. Bayern Munich have been chasing the German winger all summer, and are set to make a formal offer. Though, contrary to some reports, Bayern have denied making an initial offer as of yet.

Sane scored 16 goals in 47 appearances in all competitions last season, as Manchester City won a domestic treble. The 23-year-old is yet to make any decision on his future, but Pep Guardiola claims it is ‘out of City’s hands’.

Roma Eyeing Lovren

According to James Whaley of The Mirror, Dejan Lovren is ‘ready’ to leave Liverpool for Roma this summer, as the clubs share a good relationship. The Croatian defender is happy to make the move, after seeing his playing time on Merseyside limited by the form of Joe Gomez and Virgil Van Dijk.

Roma’s number-one target for the centre-back position was Toby Alderweireld from Spurs, but his release clause has now expired. Now, Lovren is reportedly their target, and Roma are confident of landing him for £11 million, instead of Liverpool’s £18 million asking price.
