O’s Sign Louis Dennis, Dean Brill Signs One-Year Extension

Louis Dennis joins Orient

The signing of Louis Dennis could be a revelation for the O’s. Despite spending the majority of his career in non-league, this could be the opportunity the 26-year-old needs to make an impact.

Dennis’ arrival will also provide some more depth in the squad, something that was very much needed. Also, with his ability to play out-wide and up-top, a versatile option will be a welcome one at that.

The ex Dagenham & Redbridge player scored 14 goals in the 2017/18 season for Bromley, which is a more than respectable return. Therefore with this in mind, it will be interesting to see if he can find his form in the EFL.

The departures of Josh Koroma and Macauley Bonne were huge, but the signing of Dennis and Lee Angol could provide some much-needed firepower.

Dean Brill Signs One-Year Extension

Also, the club announced that Dean Brill has signed a one-year extension at the club. The 33-year-old has been a key figure since late 2017 and was pivotal to their title-winning season.

This will be welcome news for O’s fans, as he heavily favoured by the fans. Furthermore, he also possesses a role within the squad similar to that of a leading player. As Orient’s squad is a vastly young one, Brill plays a key role in working with them.

However, it will be interesting to see how is preferred in between the sticks this season. Brill played every single game last season, but Sam Sargeant remains an Orient player. He is also a player with EFL experience, and while still at a young age, it would be a great opportunity to play him this season.

None the less, the choices for keepers at Orient is not an issue. Two keepers; one with veteran experience and the other with promising potential, the O’s are not spoilt for choice.
