West Brom Make Double Signing

After missing out on promotion back to the Premier League via the Championship play-offs, new West Brom boss Slaven Bilic has added to his defensive ranks with the signing of Semi Ajayi.

Ajayi, 25, joins for an undisclosed fee from Rotherham United after they were relegated back to League One. The 6’5″ centre-back has signed a four-year contract with the Baggies as they aim to secure Premier League status once again.

As well as at the back, Bilic has recruited for his forward line too with the signing of Cardiff City striker Kenneth Zohore. The 25-year-old Denmark international was prolific for the Bluebirds at this level but had a tough time of it last season, scoring just once – a last-minute winner away at Southampton.

Zohore takes the number nine shirt at the Hawthorns following the departure of Salomon Rondon, who hadn’t played for the club since 2018. He spent last season on loan at Newcastle United and completed a move to reunite with boss Rafael Benitez from that stint with Chinese side Dalian Yifang.

Port Vale Sign Callum Evans

League Two side Port Vale have completed the signing of Macclesfield Town defender Callum Evans. The right-back has signed a one-year deal at the club as they continue preparations for their new era under the ownership of Carol and Kevin Shanahan.

Evans started his youth career with Manchester United before joining Barnsley. He spent time on loan at Macclesfield from both the Tykes and Forest Green Rovers after moving there in 2017 before then joining the Silkmen on a permanent deal.

He becomes Vale’s fifth signing of the summer.
