Career So Far

Rabiot moved around a lot during his youth career, even having a brief spell with Manchester City in 2008. However, it was at Paris Saint-Germain that he graduated from the youth side into the first team.

That jump initially came via the B team, where he made nine appearances before making his senior debut in 2012. He made 150 appearances in total for PSG, scoring 13 goals.

He also had a loan spell at Toulouse in 2013, scoring once in 13 appearances.

Internationally, Rabiot represented six of France’s youth teams before receiving his first senior call-up. He made eight appearances overall for the U16s, U17s and U18s before scoring four goals in 20 games for the U19s.

A further 25 appearances and one goal between the U20s and U21s ensured before playing for the senior side, making his debut in 2016 and going on to receive six caps.

Fitting In

The addition of Rabiot as well as former Arsenal man Aaron Ramsey, who completed his deal to Juventus before the season was over, adds great depth to the sides midfield area.

They also boast Emre Can, Rodrigo Bentancur, Blaise Matuidi, Sami Khedira and Miralem Pjanic, so Rabiot coming into that group too adds an incredible level of competition.

That’s something Juventus will need for next season as they aim to improve their fortunes in the Champions League. The depth will be vital if they are to mount a serious charge for Europe’s top prize.
