Russo has attracted interest from a number of clubs. Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain identified the goalkeeper as the perfect signing. According to Calcio Mercato, the youngster is interested in a move. Most young Italian goalkeepers see Buffon as their idol. Russo could be willing to move to PSG to play with the World-Cup winner. The Parisians are able to attract Russo with an offer worth a lot of money.

Juventus also have a plan to lure the 2001-born goalkeeper to the club. Russo could be willing to stay in Italy and build a legacy in Turin. As he is labelled the ‘next Buffon’, he could join the reigning Italian champions in order to follow his idol’s footsteps. Russo is a great goalkeeper, contrary to his statistics.

Alessandro Russo has conceded 23 goals in only 13 games in the Italian U19 league. However, his performances show what the stats don’t. He is a very trustable player. Until now, the level of interest shown from both the Italian champions and the French champions is unknown. Many expect Russo to leave Genoa in search of a better club. If he isn’t offered a contract with the senior squad soon, the star could leave. The Italian football community is expecting to see Russo as a future national team player. He could become one of the best goalkeepers in Europe.
