Latest on Marcos Alonso, Lookman, Bolasie and Hazard

Marcos Alonso Wanted

Chelsea full-back Marcos Alonso has emerged as a late summer target for Atletico Madrid. Alonso is from the Spanish capital and began his career at Real. Atletico could be about to lose Filipe Luis to PSG and see Alonso as the ideal replacement.

At present, Chelsea are unwilling to sell and Alonso is settled in London. However, with the Spanish transfer window shutting at the end of the month, clubs are doing all they can to strengthen. Should Chelsea lose Alonso, and at this stage, it appears he will stay, the Blues will be left with a huge void; one they will be unable to fill until January.

Fee Wanted For Lookman Revealed

Everton are demanding £28 million plus add-ons for want-away winger Ademola Lookman. RB Leipzig have been pursuing the 20-year-old all summer. They have had two bids rejected, the latest being £22 million. Lookman impressed on loan in Germany last season and ever since Leipzig have been determined to sign him permanently.

Lookman is thought to be unsettled at Goodison Park and would welcome a move back to Germany. The winger has yet to feature this season for the Toffees and although he is unsettled, he has impressed manager Marco Silva with his attitude. It is unknown at present whether Leipzig are willing to meet Everton’s asking price. They have until August 31st to agree on a deal.

Villa Winning Bolasie Race

Aston Villa appear to have jumped ahead of Middlesbrough in the race to sign Everton’s Yannick Bolasie. The winger appeared to be Boro bound having held talks earlier this week. It now appears Villa have entered the race and have also held talks over a loan move to Villa Park.

Middlesbrough looked set to land both Bolasie and teammate Mo Besic on loan; however, only Besic seems to be heading to the Riverside now. 29-year-old Bolasie is surplus to requirements at Goodison and now has a decision to make as to where his future lies. Villa, now safe from administration, are currently fifth in the Championship, three points behind Middlesbrough.

Real Not Giving Up on Eden

Earlier this week it was reported that Eden Hazard would not be leaving Chelsea this summer. Real Madrid, however, appear to be unwilling to give up on signing the Belgian international. Real, still looking for a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, are understood to be about to make one last attempt to sign Hazard before the Spanish transfer window shuts.

Chelsea insist Hazard is not for sale and want the forward to sign a new deal. It is understood that Hazard would be unwilling to extend his current contract that has two years left unless he sees that Chelsea are Champions League-bound once again. Real are under pressure to bring in a marquee signing before the end of the summer and could pursue Hazard until the last minutes of the transfer window.
