Latest on Eden Hazard, Rakitic, Loftus-Cheek and Alcacer

Eden Hazard to Stay or Go?

Chelsea are reportedly willing to offer Eden Hazard £300,000 per week to keep him from the clutches of Real Madrid. The Spanish giants have been linked with the Belgian international for some time. They have already signed former teammate Thibaut Courtois this transfer window.

Chelsea are believed to have offered Hazard a new contract in a desperate attempt to keep him at Stamford Bridge. At this stage, nothing has yet to be agreed. However, it is understood that Hazard has said he sees his future at Chelsea and will resist any approach from Madrid. Real are looking for a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo and have until the end of the month to sign new players.

Rakitic to PSG?

Barcelona star Ivan Rakitic is attracting interest from PSG. The Spanish Champions do not want to sell and the midfielder has a €125 million release clause in his contract. Head coach Ernesto Valverde considers the Croatia international a key member of his squad and has no interest in selling the 30-year-old.

PSG have the money to pay the release clause; however, after the huge fees paid for Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, they must be careful due to the financial fair play regulations. PSG, if they do want Rakitic, may have to sell before they can approach Barcelona about a deal, an approach which is unlikely to be entertained.

Alcacer Dortmund Bound?

Another Barcelona player, Paco Alcacer, is understood to be being chased by Borussia Dortmund. The German side are interested in taking the striker on loan. Alcacer has been advised that he is not in Ernesto Valverde’s plans this season and is free to move on, especially on a loan deal.

Several Spanish sides have been linked with Alcacer but Dortmund now appear to be leading the chase. They are currently looking for a new striker after Michy Batshuayi, who was on loan for part of last season, joined Valencia.

Chelsea Keen to Keep Loftus-Cheek

Clubs in Spain, France and Germany are reportedly interested in England international Ruben Loftus-Cheek. The midfielder is believed to be considering his options having slipped down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge. He failed to make the squad for last weekend’s game against Arsenal.

Loftus-Cheek impressed on loan at Crystal Palace last season and made it into Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad. Chelsea want the midfielder to stay and fight for his place. However, having played just 22 minutes this season, a loan move abroad could happen before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month.
