Moussa Sissoko and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou Dynamic At Spurs

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou

Since arriving at Spurs, Mauricio Pochettino has made some great signings. However, there have been a few which have not worked out, specifically Moussa Sissoko and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou.

At this point, it would appear as if both players will find it hard to find a place in the Spurs starting XI.

Mauricio Pochettino’s Faith in Moussa Sissoko

Since signing for Spurs in August 2016, Moussa Sissoko has not endured a memorable spell at the club.

The French international has struggled to generally adapt to life at Spurs, even after two years at the club. At some points, he has frustrated supporters with lacklustre performances over the past two seasons.

However, manager Mauricio Pochettino appears to have faith in the 29-year-old. Making over 58 appearances for Spurs, Sissoko has evidently been given a vote of confidence from Pochettino.

On the opening day of the season, Sissoko started against his former side Newcastle United. Furthermore, he put in a decent performance.

Thus despite almost being an outlier in the squad, he may not be short on appearances this season.

Georges-Kevin N’Koudou Left in the Dark

On the other hand, it appears that Georges-Kevin N’Koudou does not have an opportunity at Spurs, this forthcoming season or the foreseeable future.

Signing from Marseille in the summer of 2016, the 23-year-old has sparsely appeared for Spurs in the last two seasons. The former French Under-21 international spent the second half of last season out on loan at Burnley.

Upon his return to Spurs, his days at the club appear to be numbered as he looks to be heading for the exit before the end of August.

The Contention up Front

Now with Son Heung-Min away for the Asia Cup, Lucas Moura has stepped up in his place. The Brazilian scored his first Premier League goal for the club this weekend, in a 3-1 win over Fulham.

Also in contention is Argentine Erik Lamela. Coming off the bench to assist Harry Kane against Fulham, there is a lot of energy the former AS Roma player brings to the side, as he can be an important player for Spurs.

While both Moussa Sissoko and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou have different stances at the club, chances for both players could potentially be few and far between, if not, rare.
