Toby Alderweireld to finally leave?

Spurs defender Toby Alderweireld could finally be about to leave. Manchester United were favourites to sign the Belgian this summer; however, they failed to complete a deal before the English transfer window shut. Reports are now suggesting that Alderweireld could now be set for the Bundesliga.

German Champions Bayern Munich are interested but any move could depend on whether Jerome Boateng leaves. The German international had been expected to move to PSG; however, this move is currently in the balance after the Paris club signed another defender. If Boateng does leave then Munich they are expected to launch a bid for Alderweireld. Once again the future of the defender could go to the last minutes of a transfer deadline. The Bundesliga transfer window shuts at 6 pm on August 31st.

Toure still looking for a club

Yaya Toure’s move to West Ham is now off. The former Manchester City midfielder was rumoured to be on his way to London but manager Manuel Pellegrini has ruled out a move. Free agent Toure, has been without a club since leaving City at the end of last season after eight years with the club. Pellegrini has described his squad as ”complete”, apparently ending the chances of Toure joining.

Klavan to Cagliari?

Liverpool defender Ragnar Klavan looks set to depart Merseyside for Italy. Serie A side Cagliari have reportedly agreed a £2 million deal for the Estonian defender. Klavan is expected to have a medical today ahead of completing his move.

The defender signed for Liverpool in 2016 from Augsburg and went on to make 39 appearances. He also became to the first Estonian to score in the Premier League. The 32-year-old captain of Estonia is surplus to requirements at Anfield but Jurgen Klopp was not in a hurry to sell; however, he has agreed to let him go.

Will Ramsey stay or go?

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey could have a big decision to make this month. The Welsh international is in his final year of his current contract with the Gunners. Arsenal are confident he will agree to a new deal but other clubs are showing an interest.

Spanish Champions Barcelona and Italian giants Lazio are reportedly interested as are several Chinese Super League clubs. If Ramsey wishes to stay at the Emirates then his bargaining position has increased due to the latest interest. Arsenal are desperate to keep Ramsey and may have to offer a big contract to keep him. Barcelona, should they wish to sign him have until the end of August to agree on a deal. Lazio, on the other hand, would have to act very quickly if they want him now. Their window shuts today.
