Gareth Bale Departure From Real Madrid?

According to various sources, including Sports Mole, Gareth Bale has reportedly agreed to depart Real Madrid next summer. However one has to wonder; where does the Welsh international go next?

Have Injuries Plagued Bale’s Time At Madrid?

Upon signing for Real Madrid in 2013, Gareth Bale has been an integral part of the La Liga side. Since joining the club, Bale has played 105 games and scored 56 goals in a Madrid shirt. However, frequent injuries in the past few seasons have limited the 28-year-old’s action.

Despite being an important part of the club’s UEFA Champions League triumphs, the former Spurs player has had his fair share of time on the sidelines, as he has nursed several injuries in the past few seasons.

Thus with this in mind, are the recent reports of Bale’s departure in correlation to his constant spells on the sidelines? Have they affected his tenure at the reigning La Liga champions?

Where Does Bale Go Next?

Amidst the reports of his rumored departure from Real Madrid, Gareth Bale has been linked with signing for two major clubs; Manchester United and a potential return to Spurs.

Manchester United have kept tabs on Bale for sometime now. The Midlands club were even rumored to be signing the Welsh wizard this past summer, however no transfer materialized.

There is no doubt that Jose Mourinho would relish the prospect of Bale within his United side. His presence would seriously bolster the already strong forward-line, and further potentially galvanize the special one’s title ambitions.

On the other hand, Spurs have also been reported as a potential destination for Bale. Thus this would mean that Bale would return to the North-London club, five years after leaving.

But during Bale’s time away from the club, Spurs have slowly but surely become one of English football’s most prolific sides. So with that in mind; would Spurs be wrong to re-acquire Bale to provide support to the Harry Kane lead squad?

Bale’s Foreseeable Prospects

At this point it is unclear where Bale is headed to next. With the prospect of a move to Manchester United or Spurs, it would appear as if a Premier League return is on the cards for the winger.

The next few months shall be an interesting period for Bale, as it is unseen whether or not his role will be as prominent for the Spanish champions. None the less, the Welshman’s future shall become clearer come next summer.
