Transfer Turnstile: Andrea Belotti, Naby Keita, Ivan Perisic, Neymar News

In a relentless transfer window, LWOF has the day's latest transfer updates, including Andrea Belotti, Naby Keita, Ivan Perisic and Neymar news.

The transfer rumour mill is a fast-paced smattering of elements of truth mixed up with a whole lot of smoke. Nonetheless, sifting through the mess can be fruitful (sometimes), so let’s take a look at the transfer turnstile that was today.

Neymar Remains Coy About Paris Links

Having returned from a short break in Ibiza, Neymar was met by a hoard of reporters at the airport, hoping to gain any insight on the Brazilian captain’s future. However the Barcelona star decided against answering questions, instead signing autographs for fans at the airport. PSG officials remain confident that a deal can be struck, with club officials set to hold talks with Neymar’s father over the coming days. It is understandable that Neymar would want to force a move at this stage of his career, as he will spend the majority of his prime playing second fiddle to Lionel Messi.

Rather than spend the prime of his career as a member of the supporting cast, Neymar is looking to win Ballon d’Or’s and become the poster boy of a club like he is for his national team.

The fee required to activate Neymar’s release clause is £196m, it remains to be seen what sort of wage he will be offered in the French capital.

Andrea Belotti Interests Milan

Andrea Belotti has established himself as a marksman after scoring 26 times last season. According to The Metro, the Italian has an agreement in place with AC Milan but the clubs are yet to agree on a transfer fee with Chelsea also reviewing the situation after missing out on Romelu Lukaku. Torino would certainly yearn for his goals if he did leave and would need to unearth a replacement soon. The arrival of Andrea Belotti can only improve the firepower at the Rossoneri who have already splashed out on signing André Silva from FC Porto. Under new ownership, AC Milan could be set to return to their glory days and Andrea Belotti would be the perfect forward to spearhead their attack.

Liverpool Frustrated in Keita Pursuit

Liverpool have had an improved offer of £66 million for Naby Keita rejected by RB Leipzig, Paul Joyce of The Times quotes Sportbild. The Leipzig owner Dietrich Mateschitz told the German magazine:
“We don’t sell any of our players just to get money. Lately we got a €75 million offer for Naby Keïta. No way! He has a contract and he will accomplish it.
“To sell him would not only be a proof of distrust to our fans but also the wrong sign for our players like Timo Werner, who is in demand too.”

Javier Hernandez Close to Premier League Returm

According to Sky Sports, Javier Hernandez is just days away from completing his switch to West Ham.

The signing of Marko Arnautovic from Stoke will create more chances for the Hammers. should they complete a deal for Hernandez, he will provide the clinical finishing needed at the end of the Austrians deliveries.

in addition, West Ham open their season against Manchester United August 13th. Chicharito turning out against his old club would provide some extra drama on opening day.

Manchester City Close in on Madrid Star

Manchester City experienced a full back crisis last season, and having lost both Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna they are looking to strengthen their defence. Brazilian right back Danilo, struggled to cement a spot in Real Madrid’s first as he was competing against Dani Carvajal, who Zidane seemed to prefer. Sky Sports reported that “Manchester City are close to signing Real Madrid defender Danilo in a deal worth £26.5m.” Danilo is likely to be Guardiola’s second choice right back as City recently acquired the World’s most expensive defender, Kyle Walker. With City displaying a keen interest for the Brazilian and Real Madrid willing to sell him, this is a transfer that is likely to happen this summer.

Liverpool Finally Get Their Left-Back?

After being linked with Hull’s Andy Robertson for quite a while, Liverpool have finally agreed a fee for the Scotland international to compete with James Milner for the left-back spot. The fee could rise up to £10 million. That’s according to Sky Sports, who quote an unnamed source.

Meanwhile, football correspondent for The Times Paul Joyce reports that Kevin Stewart has left the squad and is set to head in the other direction. The addition of the 23-year-old defensive midfielder would certainly improve the squad at Hull, while at Liverpool he is clearly deemed surplus to requirements.
