Ernie Clement Records 0 Strikeouts So far in Spring Training

Toronto Blue Jays rookie Ernie Clement has shown strong contact ability in Spring Training. He has yet to strike out at the plate and has also shown strong plate discipline. Clement can use this to elevate his game in the regular season. Last season, Clement showcased how he was a prospective player who could get on base consistently. He was one of the many prospects last season who got their opportunity to play in the majors.

Clement Yet to Strikeout in Spring Training

Clement Remains as Keen Player to Be on the Roster

He deserves to be on the Opening Day roster with the numbers he has put up in Spring Training this season. He certainly is a player who hasn’t gone unnoticed and is pushing to be on the roster. This youngster has been standing out since 2023, and he is truly showing how badly he wants that spot on the main roster and is doing it the right way. Clement will play in the big leagues this season; it’s just a matter of when. The Blue Jays will need their most vital players on the roster, and Clement has shown that he can’t stop and won’t stop. He can hit, field, and play multiple positions. There is no reason he shouldn’t make the Blue Jays roster out of camp. Clement deserves to be awarded one of the four bench spots on the roster. It will be intriguing to see Clement play an entire season with the Blue Jays this season.

So far this Spring, Clement has recorded a single off of Shelby Miller, a single off of Casey Mize, a single off of Jason Foley, a triple off of Gerrit Cole, a single off of Alex Bustamante, a single off of Corbin Burnes, a 2-run home run off of Corbin Burnes, a single off of Zach Eflin and a 2-run home run off of Zach Eflin. Clement has done everything to impress fans and management, and not striking out at the plate and putting up impressive numbers as a rookie are two big reasons why he deserves to be on the Opening Day roster.
