Gatoh Move ChocoPro #132 Card – Michinoku Special Show (7/4/21)

ChocoPro 132

On ChocoPro #132, the Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling takes a momentary break from the One of a Kind Tag League, shifting their focus to Michinoku Pro Wrestling. ChocoPro viewers that have been active on Twitter have likely seen Emi Sakura, Mei Suruga, Baliyan Akki, and Chie Koishikawa traveling for what’s been described as a business trip. This business has led them to Michinoku Pro, founded by The Great Sasuke. What does this trip have planned for Sakura and crew? Here’s what to expect on this special episode.

ChocoPro 132

Emi Sakura and Mei Suruga vs. Chie Koishikawa and Koji Kawamura

Though they’re part of different units in ChocoPro, Emi Sakura and Mei Suruga are set to team up on this special edition episode. With Emi Sakura being one of the members of Pencil Army and Mei Suruga being one-half of the Asia Dream Tag Team Champions, Best Bros, it’s interesting to see them work together. Suruga is one of the various Sakura proteges; one would argue that Gatoh Move’s “Apple Girl” is her star pupil to boot. On this episode, they will combine forces to battle a familiar opponent and one that isn’t so.

Chie Koishikawa, the girl with “Too Much Energy” and one-half of Egg Tarts, isn’t short on spirit. Her trademark energy has endeared her to the ChocoPro faithful. Furthermore, given that Koishikawa is the only fourth-generation Gatoh Move star part of this tour, it’s plain to see just how value has been placed in her.

Teaming with Koishikawa will be a homegrown Michinoku Pro talent: Koji Kawamura. He debuted for the promotion in early 2017 and has shown tremendous promise since then. Case and point, last year, he made it to the finals of the Okama Saikyou League, ultimately losing to fellow ChocoPro #132 competitor MUSASHI. Expect Kawamura to make a statement in this opening tag team bout, and just as importantly, his Gatoh Move debut.

Baliyan Akki vs. MUSASHI

The featured match of ChocoPro #132 will see two up-and-coming “Aces” wage war. Baliyan Akki needs no introduction to longtime Gatoh Move fans. As the other half of Best Bros, not to mention an Asia Dream Tag Team titleholder, Akki has proven himself as a versatile competitor. In the ChocoPro One of a Kind Tag League, which is ongoing as of this writing, Best Bros stand at 4 points in Block A. This puts them ahead of the other teams in said block, too. Within the confines of the Michinoku Pro Dojo, however, Akki will have to wrestle with a singles mindset in place.

As a former Tohoku Junior Heavyweight and Tag Team Champion, MUSASHI is a Michinoku Pro stalwart. He boasts over a decade of wrestling experience, having wrestled since mid-2010. He learned within Michinoku Pro and has since blossomed into one of their featured stars. It may also surprise ChocoPro viewers to know that this will be his first Gatoh Move appearance since 2017. In August of that year, he competed at a Gatoh Move event in Thailand, teaming with Earth in a winning effort against Heisenberg and Greg Glorious. Almost four years later, can MUSASHI make his Gatoh Move return a win?

ChocoPro #132 will air on July 4 at 10:00 AM JST (July 3 at 9:00 PM EST).
