Ever since AEW Dynamite on March 3rd, the internet has been speculating who the hall of fame level AEW signing would be. At AEW Revolution, it was revealed to be former WWE and IMPACT Wrestling star, Christian Cage.

Christian made his return to the ring as a huge surprise in the 2021 Royal Rumble. This was his first proper in-ring appearance since 2014 when injuries forced him into retirement. Christian mysteriously never followed up on that Royal Rumble return which led to speculation that he could be the talent to make the jump to AEW. Christian adds to AEW’s growing list of veteran minds that can help develop their young talents and provide help off-screen.
Christian Cage was one of the first WWE Superstars to make the jump to TNA wrestling in the 2000s. His run as Christian Cage in TNA was one of the finest of his career as he showed WWE what they had been missing by becoming a top-tier star for TNA. While Christian likely won’t be a world champion in AEW, his moving to the company is symbolic of his move to TNA over a decade ago. AEW is the alternative that IMPACT Wrestling once was and the one that fans have been crying out for over the past number of years.
